Happy New Year to you and your family, 2021 has been a good year for our club and thanks to everyone for being a member! We had many fun rides and made some great memories and we gained some new members along the way. The Miller Black Bear and the Mississippi Northwoods trails have become popular riding areas. Our trails are well maintained and cared for by our club. We have seen some very nice comments posted on Facebook, from people that came to ride our trail systems.
Andy, Russ and myself met with Tom Stack from Crow Wing County in April and looked at expanding the Miller Black Bear trail area. Russ has sent a trail application for the new trails to the county, it will be reviewed by the County Commissioners in January, for approval for the 12.5 miles of trails we plan to add to the area. It will be a two year expansion project starting in 2023. Our ATV Safety Training class was also very successful, we certified 21 more youth with many of you volunteering. The Because of Brandon Juvenile Diabetes Charity Ride was big success, we raised $2,600 for the cause. Our club can take pride in these accomplishments.
We are not going to have a club meeting in January. ATV Minnesota is having there Legislative Summit on January 8th, at Treasure Island near Red Wing, Andrew and I will be attending.
We will have our first club meeting on February 12th and will make plans for the New Year. Andrew and I will give an update on what we can expect from next year’s legislative session.
Thanks to everyone for volunteering, helping out and being there when we needed you, let’s make 2022 another great year!
