Exploring MN ATV Trails Group Ride

Hi Everyone,
Our Explore Minnesota ride with Over the Hills Gang is this coming Saturday.  OTHG is going to provide a picnic lunch on the trail.  I’m going to pick up some beverages from our club. Meet me in front of the Ironton Legion at 8 a.m., you can follow me and we will meet up the OTHG in Outing.  The weather forecast is 73 and sunny.  Come join me.

Exploring MN ATV Trails Group Ride

August 29 @ 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

So many trails, so little summer!  Join us as we travel away (but not too far!) from our Emily/Outing ATV trails to experience another of the states great trail systems.  This year we will explore the Hill City Connector Trail and the UPM Blandin Trail.  Lots of variety on this trip! Forest, hills, mud, play area, tight and twisty, wide open and fast.  You name it, you’ll ride it!  Meet at the Swatera parking area off the Soo Line North ATV trail at 10 a.m.  Picnic lunch out on the trail provided by Over the Hills Gang ATV Club.

For those not familiar with Swatera, a group of riders will also be meeting at 9 a.m. in Outing at the parking lot 1/4 mile east of town on Cass Cty Rd. 58 then trailering out to Swatera.

August ATV Club Meeting and Ride

Hi Everyone,
Our club meeting and ride is this coming Saturday, August 8th – 9 a.m. at the Ironton Legion. We are riding the Emily Outing / Moose River trails. There will be some people from the Cuyuna Lakes State trail group coming to the meeting. They want to discuss their plans for a paved trail and the bridge over Sand Creek in the Mississippi Northwoods trail area. I look forward to hearing their plans. For this meeting I’m going to hold off on our club business this month.
Sarah Phipps has stepped down as our secretary. We need someone to fill that position.
Last month we had our annual club picnic at the Miller Black Bear trails. We had a good turnout, 32 people came. Andrew was our grill master he did a great job, we need to get him a chef’s hat and apron.
Senator Carrie Ruud and Representative Josh Heitzman attended, everyone brought something to share, we all had great time. There are several pictures posted on our Facebook page you can see.
Dale Carry’s dad passed away, the funeral was Monday. We are all sorry to hear this Dale, Barb our treasure sent a card and monetary gift.
