ATV Club Meeting & Ride this Saturday, May 14, 2022

Hi Everyone,

It is that time again.  Our club meeting is this coming Saturday May 14, 2022, at  9 am. Please note the time change.  All of our club meetings during the riding season will start at 9 am, so we can get out to the trails to ride.  This month we are riding the Pine Center Trail area.  The weather forecast looks good, 67 and partly sunny.  Bring some snacks and beverages for the ride.

Please welcome our new club members Baxter Smith, Joe Crozon & Cathy Sheldon.  I hope I did not miss anyone.

We held our annual trail spring cleanup last Saturday.  We met at 9 am at the Miller Black Bear trailhead, 20 people came out.  Part of the group went with Andy to clean the Mississippi Northwoods trails and the rest stayed with me and we cleaned the Miller Black Bear trails.  We finished up around 2 pm.  We picked up a lot of trash and found several broken off trail sign posts. I posted several pictures on our club Facebook page.  We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. Thank you everyone for helping out.

Our club dues are do this month.  If you have already paid, please disregard this.  Family memberships are $20.00, individual memberships are $15.00.  Please mail them to our club address. Cuyuna Iron Range Riders, PO Box 301,Crosby, MN 56441-0301, I hope you will stay with us, we have some great rides planned and we have a lot of fun together.

Trail Work this Saturday – May 7, 2022

Hi Everyone,

As planned, we are going to clean trails this coming Saturday. We are meeting at the Miller Black Bear trailhead at 9 am. If you are not sure about the location, take county road 30 from Ironton, turn left on County Road 34, pass the Trommald city sign. Turn left on Iverson Road, follow the dirt road and turn right by the Miller Black Bear trail and follow that to the trailhead. If you put 23501 Iverson Rd, Crosby, MN 56441 in your phone it will get you there.

We are going to ride the trails and remove any fallen trees and pick up trash. Bring tree trimmers; chain saws, bring small plastic Walmart bags, they are great for picking cans and other trash. If you have small trailer to pull behind your machine, that would be helpful for picking up trash.

Please keep track of your mileage for your vehicle and ATV, it is an allowable deduction per our grant in aid expenses. You will get reimbursed.

The weather forecast looks good, 65 and party sunny. I’m going to pick up donuts. Please let me know if you are coming, I want to have enough for everyone.
